Oppositionalism: " If you are in opposition, oppose everthing".

Oppositionalism

Let  me start by telling a short story. One day Mr Deshmukh was going back home in his car. Everyone was walking in the left lane of the road only one person, Mr Pandit was walking on the opposite side of the road. Next day when Mr Deshmukh was again going back home, again everyone was walking on the left side of the road except Mr Pandit. Mr Deshmukh asks Mr Pandit "Why are you always walking in the opposite direction". Mr Pandit replied, "Sorry sir, but I am a leader of the opposition, I am used to opposing everything".
There is a famous line "People who live in glass house should never throw stones at other", but in politics "People who live in a glasshouse must throw stones at other".
Recently the former
President of the Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi made few inappropriate  tweets against the government in such time of crisis.

This is not the first time when opposition government has attacked the government below the belt during the time of crisis.

To know the present scenario better, let's rewind the clock to UPA 2  in 2013.
The Depsang Plains are located at the Line of Actual Control that separates the Indian and Chinese controlled regions. In April 2013, the Chinese PLA troops set up a temporary camp in the Depsang Bulge and let's see a few statements made by BJP government in 2013.
What happened in Depsang plain during April 2013 is almost similar to our current situation. If we see the pattern, China always makes an attempt to do something as soon as snow melts. China entered 19 km inside Depsang plains, the opposition tried to use this opportunity as a launchpad. Big BJP leaders like Rajnath Singh made a careless, aggressive speech during the election rally.
Bhagath Singh Koshyari, former CMO of
Uttarakhand and current governor of Maharashtra went to the border to see the border tensions. When Nitin Gadkari was the party president of BJP, he went to China to visit the Chinese ambassador and Chinese ambassador came to BJP headquarters to visit hi. What happened was a highly irresponsible and inappropriate way in which BJP handled the situation. Normally only the government in power must have the right to meet foreign diplomat especially not the leader of the opposition.
Some leaders know politics some don’t. Let us talk about someone who didn't knew much about politics but has learnt a lot from experience.
I am talking about our current honourable
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. In 2008 during Mumbai bomb blast, Narendra Modi visited Mumbai when the fighting was still taking place. He visited active fighting sites including Oberoi hotel and made comments on government. Now Rahul Gandhi is making the same mistakes what our honourable PM did in his past.

The opposition likes to question Chinese only when they are not in power when they are in power they want to manage its diplomatic way. BJP used to do this and now Congress party is using Chinese crisis as a launchpad to relaunch Rahul Gandhi.

There are few leaders who won't ever make such a mistake. Sharad Pawar and Mamata Banerjee are one of the oldest and the most intelligent veteran in politics. If there is one Politian who can beat BJP in a street fight, she is Mamata Banerjee. Mamata Banerjee single headedly uprooted left from Bengal. BJP is trying hard to defeat her but has not been successful. No one can guess what is going on in Sharad Pawar’s mind, he humiliated BJP by taking Maharashtra right from their nose. He was able to alienate BJP from their oldest allies. He has been defence minister, chief minister of Maharashtra moreover he is a prodigy of Yashwantrao Chavan. Observe the statement made by these two. Mamata Banerjee made an official statement saying that she supports the government and also added that she has some differences which she will solve after the crisis. Sharad Pawar contradicted the statement of Rahul Gandhi and talked about international regulations of weapons near the border area. BJP doesn’t love these two, these two veterans don’t love BJP but they known when to do politics and when not to.

Especially during any crisis, the sentiment of the people is with the government in power. Delhi elections were taking place right after the Mumbai terror attack. BJP tried to use dirty politics but Sheila Dikshit won with a bigger majority than before. Sharad Pawar and Mamata Banerjee knew that now it is time to show unity during such crisis. We live in a democracy, a difference of opinions is normal but when it comes to the security of our nation everyone must come together
